The Tech Catholic Community has proposed the following amendment to our constitution. Please email Andrew Berta at andrew92mit.edu with any questions or concerns.
The Tech Catholic Community accepts and agrees to comply with the current Nondiscrimination Policy of the Institute, as well as any future changes to the policy made by the Institute.
The Tech Catholic Community at MIT is an international community of Christians in the Roman Catholic tradition.
Our central mission is to minister to the university community. In this context, the TCC community draws people seeking truth and healing from all over the country, and the world. Our unity in faith and sacraments transcends our diversity.
We are committed to sharing the community we enjoy through reaching out in love to those who surround us and to the larger MIT and worldly communities of which we are a part. The community finds its unity and voice, gathered to hear God's Word, primarily through the celebration of the Eucharist. We utilize the God-given talents of the entire community in worship, in educational efforts, and in outreach.
We are called to grow in our faith and to share that faith with one another, with those newly arrived in our community, with those whose search has led them away from the Church, and all who seek God.
While TCC is a student organization rather than a full Newman Center, we strive support all the spiritual needs of our community in conjunction with the Archdiocese of Boston. Mass is offered three days a week in the MIT Chapel. Check out our other services and activities!
