For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy.
- St. Therese of Lisieux, as quoted in the Catechism of the Catholic Church

St. Monica Society
The St. Monica Society is a group dedicated to praying for our families to the end that they would grow closer to Christ, as St. Monica prayed so persistently for her husband Patricius and for her son, the future St. Augustine, and by her persistence obtained the conversion of both. We have put together a list of everybody's family members whom we pray for here; please feel free to add your own!
On St. Monica's feast day (the 27th of August), we offer all of these intentions and pray a Rosary together; we also pray together this novena to St. Monica starting on the 18th: https://catholicnovenaapp.com/novenas/st-monica-novena/# Throughout the year we will each continue to pray for everyone on the list.
On St. Augustine's feast day (the 28th of August) of the following year, we can reflect on the list and give thanks to God for the changes He has worked in these people's hearts.
